The Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association (TVDSA) was founded in 1982 by Billie Paetel and other parents who had children with Down syndrome. Their goal was to provide support and information, especially to new parents.
Today, the mission of TVSA is to enhance the quality of life for people with Down syndrome by promoting inclusive environments, providing accurate information to parents, families and the community, and by advocating respect, dignity, and appropriate supports for people who have Down syndrome. Anyone is welcome to attend our bi-monthly meetings and our annual events. We want all parents to have what they need to help their child with Down syndrome reach their full potential.
Services we provide to Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Mountain Home and surrounding areas:
Programs for people with Down syndrome of all age groups
Scholarships to local and national conferences
Monthly newsletters containing stories and a calendar of upcoming events
An informative and inspirational guide for new parents
Family networking opportunities and events
Workshops on various topics
