Attention Team Captains!
Buddy Walk is on!
Please share this information
with your team members.
Buddy Walk Teams,
Due to the forecast for high winds this Saturday, portable tents will not be allowed at Buddy Walk to ensure the safety of Buddy Walk participants and volunteers.
Information You Need To Know
We are in the final planning days before the big event! For more information to share with your teams click here.
Each Buddy Walk team is asked to make a basket that will be auctioned the day of the event. Some cool ideas:
A Day at the Spa (massage/mani/pedi)
Parents Night Out (Dinner for two and tickets to a concert or live theater)
Night at the Movies
Seven Days Without Dishes (Dinner for two at seven different restaurants)
A Weekend Staycation - (Hotel stay - three days/two nights)
Wine and Cheese basket
Tickets to different sporting events such as Saints, Pelicans, Zephyrs, LSU games
These are just a few suggestions. You can be creative! Need more information? Join us on September 15th at the Team Captain meeting!
If you need ideas about what kind of items to include, please come to the next Team Captain meeting or call Carol at 504-259-6201.
Volunteer News and Updates
We will need many volunteers to have a successful walk. If you are not on a team or do not plan on participating in the walk, please consider volunteering your time. We will need people to help set up, onsite registration, food booths, games, contests, clean up, parking lot assistance, vendor assistance and much, much more. If interested, contact us at 504-259-6201. Students needing service hours and corporate group volunteers welcome!
