The Buddy Walk is a fun and exciting celebration of people who have Down syndrome and a fundraiser for the Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association (TVDSA). When you support the Buddy Walk, you help create awareness and acceptance for people who have Down syndrome. By supporting TVDSA, you help us provide programs and education to families and advocate for those with disabilities. In addition, you are supporting research on Alzheimer's disease.

We encourage you to create a team on this site and invite people to join you at the walk, make team signs, dress up and have fun. Visit the links on this site to form a team, register or donate to the event. Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association Information

The Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association (TVDSA) was founded in the early 1980s by Billie Paetel and other parents who had children with Down syndrome. Their goal was to provide support and information, especially to new parents.

Today, TVDSA continues to offer encouragement, support, and information. Anyone is welcome to attend our bi-monthly meetings and our annual events. We want all parents to have what they need to help their child with Down syndrome reach their full potential.

Services we provide to Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Mountain Home and surrounding areas:

  • Programs for people with Down syndrome of all age groups
  • Resource library containing books and DVDs
  • Scholarships to local and national conferences
